The French Woods Festival was founded in 1970 and has expanded over the years. Resident Magicians are wanted to teach and coach magic for a nine week period from June 20th - August 25th, room and board will be provided. It all sounds like a great way to spend the summer. Mr E Enterprises, a small company specialising in Hypnotism and Mentalism, but also offering magic in general, are advertising with MagicWeek from today. The company was founded in 2000 by Eddie Burke, a well known professional entertainer who has performed all over the world in Theatres and Clubs, in Cabaret, and aboard Cruise Liners, rubbing shoulders and sharing ideas with such great names as Tommy Cooper, The Amazing Fogel, Al Koran, Marvillo, Satori and Peter Casson, Edwin Heath, Murray, Paul Daniels, Lorde Payne, David Nixon, Paul McKenna and many other leading showmen, hypnotists, mind-readers and magicians. Eddie is now semi retired from his show business travels but really wants to share his knowledge with the up-and-coming younger members of the profession, "so that it doesn't all get lost with the passing of time." It is not Eddie's intention to be the biggest dealer or to stock thousands of items, but instead to release just a select number of items. Pay them a visit today: www.mreenterprises.co.uk 9.3.02

There was magic at Brooklyn Beckham's 3rd Birthday Party on Monday afternoon. Magician Philip Partridge was booked for two hours and performed magic and made balloon sculptures for the children. Brooklyn helped with the tricks during the show, received a "Magic Philip" Birthday Card, a giant motorbike balloon sculpture, and a heart from "Fluffy" the puppet rabbit. It all sounds like more fun than Victoria's deathly dull documentary shown on ITV last week - what on earth was all that about? 9.3.02

News from Martin Breese: Martin's 16-page Newsletter is now ready - an email to him at martin@abracadabra.co.uk with your name and address is all that is needed if you'd like to receive a copy. The long-awaited Digital Pabular at £31.75 ($45.00) will be ready in ten days and orders are now being taken. Martin is somewhat upset to discover that although he entered into a contract with Nick Bolton (the original publisher of Pabular) another publisher in the USA who apparently has no written permission or contract to publish the magazine has put a 300 page hardback copy of the first two volumes on the market. Many dealers in the USA are not stocking this volume and most magic magazines in the USA are not accepting advertising for this hardback book. Martin had planned to bring out a quality hardback publication of the collected Pabular but is uncertain if that will be worthwhile now. The Digital Pabular will probably fill the gap and contains all of the pages from Pabular in an easily-searchable form, with a detailed index republished courtesy of Ian Keable. 9.3.02
