Being a Colonel is simply magic! "When Mark Mason returned from a tricks masterclass trip to the US last month, he never realised it would make him a celebrity. But when he opened the mail yesterday, the South Shore businessman was shocked to find out he had been given the highest honour in one of the country's biggest states. The 40-year-old, who owns JB Magic on Lytham Road, has been awarded the title of "Colonel of Kentucky" after leaving one of the state governor's right-hand men spellbound. Other personalities to have been awarded the Colonel of Kentucky include boxing legend Muhammad Ali, Tiger Woods, and Fred Astaire," writes Nick Hyde, reporting for the Blackpool Gazette.
