Jeff Wayne's musical version of “The War of the Worlds”, starts an arena tour this December. The Twins FX are on the creative team, supplying the special visual effects. This all-new live production will feature a 3-tonne, 35-foot tall Martian Fighting Machine firing real flame Heat Rays at the audience, and scanning them with its bug-like eyes, as it 'lands' centre stage. Special effects and illusions include a world-first 'levitation' and the Martian Fighting Machine's 'incineration' of a cast member; all contributing to the all-encompassing experience that is The War of The Worlds. Liam Neeson heads the cast in 3D holography, portraying the role of George Herbert. His groundbreaking, full-bodied, live action 3D hologram interacts with the live performers. Tommy Cooper's Christmas, 8.55pm on Saturday 8th December on Channel 5. Classic comedy from 1974: "Tommy Cooper has the audience in stitches in this special Christmas show. Allan Cuthbertson, Tommy Godfrey, Glyn Houston, Damaris Hayman and Annette Potts join in the fun. Providing the music are guest stars Dana (the sweet-voiced Irish European Song winner and pop star in the days before she became a politician) and American crooner, Vic Damone. Stu Turner appears at the O2. Formerly half of 'Magic Incorporated'; a comedy illusion double-act formed in the early 90's, Stu took a 10 year break from performing and is now back as a solo act.
