Entertainers' Business & Marketing Conference - 24th September 2017, London. From the organisers: After the success of the first EBMC last year, we've put together a lineup of some of the UK's most successful entertainers to share their individual strategies for building their businesses and making a living from entertaining people. At the conference, Luke Jermay will be revealing for the first time how he makes his living from selling tickets to people who want to come and see his shows. More details on the other presenters and their special presentations will follow in the coming weeks.
If you are a magician, mentalist, juggler, clown at any level and want to grow your business, then this one-day intensive conference will not only inspire you, but give you the practical tools to get more of the gigs you want by using the exact strategies other pro entertainers are enjoying great success with. Whether you want to go part time, full time, do more gigs every week, or do fewer gigs for higher fees, you are going to leave the day with actionable steps of exactly what you should be doing right now. Morgan
& West: More Magic for Kids! Edinburgh Fringe Underbelly Cow Barn, 2nd-27th
August. Celebrating their 10th anniversary as a duo of deception, time
travelling magicians Morgan & West return with their brand new show ‘More Magic
For Kids!’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year. Despite their squabbles
about the idea of creating a show for children, Mr West has finally resigned
himself to the idea that he now does shows for children, although he’s really
not best pleased about it. Mr. Morgan, as ever, is thrilled that people are
willing and indeed eager to watch him and his magic tricks.

Colin Dymond - The Magic of Puppets 2.0 at the Cotswold Magical Society. Peter Kidd writes: Our very own Colin Dymond brings his brand new lecture to the Cotswold Magical Society on Wednesday 2nd August. As well as being our immediate past-present, Colin, a member of The Magic Circle and the International Ventriloquist Society, is a respected author and lecturer on both subjects, both at home and abroad. In The Magic of Puppets 2.0, he builds on the work from his DVD, 'The Magic of Puppets' (still available from Practical Magic) to explain how you can add magic to your puppet/ventriloquist act or how you can add puppets to your magic act. Colin has been invited to present this lecture at the Vent Haven ConVENTion in the USA next year, so for those of us who won't be able to get to that convention, this is a fantastic opportunity to see the lecture before anyone else. It's sure to be popular with magicians, children's entertainers and ventriloquists alike, so we are very grateful to Colin for allowing us a sneak preview! Wednesday 2nd August at 7.30pm. The Cotswold Magical Society, Thee Hucclecote Community Centre, Hucclecote Road, Gloucester GL3 3RT (Map). Visiting magicians welcome. www.cotswoldmagic.co.uk. 29.7.17 |
