Hand Cut Stripper Decks - Custom made in the UK. From the makers: The ‘Stripper deck’ or ‘Tapered deck’ is one of the most versatile and easiest to use gimmicked decks available. Apparent miracles can be performed that credit the performer with amazing sleight of hand skills. The gimmicked deck allows the performer to locate any required card(s) with ease, even after being shuffled by a spectator.

The problem with commercially produced Stripper decks are the cuts! The tapers on these decks are very deep. Spectators cannot get close to or handle the deck, without instantly detecting its gimmicking! The answer to this problem started life as an underground secret, used by professional card cheats: ‘Hand Cut Stripper Decks.’

(Professional magician David Diamond, who is producing these decks, kindly sent me through a sample last week and they really are excellent. Just perfect. Visit www.handcut-stripperdecks.co.uk for more info and to order. DT). 14.7.18

Paul will also demonstrate and explain his favourite close-up routines that combine cold reading and magic, to provide an engaging and fascinating experience for the spectator. Members are free and visiting magicians are welcome for a £10 entrance fee. The lecture takes place in East Horsley, Surrey at 8pm. His chosen one then has six months to learn the trade and flourish across the pond as a convincing pastor. The final phase of the volunteer's extraordinary challenge sees them attempt to perform faith healing miracles live in Texas, but will Derren's new recruit be accepted as a faith healer or cast away as fake healer?
