The MagicWeek Video Archive. This week Tempest & Cottet, in a beautifully crafted routine that they presented on 'The Paul Daniels Magic Show' on 30th January 1988. Thirty one years on and this performance is still wonderful to watch. The Magic Circle Young Magician of the Year Competition - tomorrow at 6pm! Finalists Adam Black Dunblane (Perthshire), Ryan Jackson Stock (Essex), Theo Mellor (London), Robbie Stevens (Suffolk), Zach Weaver (Leicestershire) and Amos Wollen (Kent) compete. There will be two shows on Sunday April 7th. The preview is at 2.30pm and tickets for this are £8. The actual Final with judging is at 6pm and tickets for that are £15. This is the thirtieth Young Magician of the Year Competition. Anthony Owen, Moira Fletcher, Geoffrey Durham and Oliver Tabor judge, and Darren McDonald is the compère. Miss Sylvia Sceptre wins Wolverhampton Circle of Magicians Stage Competition. Sue Oakley writes: On Wednesday 3rd April, The Wolverhampton Circle of Magicians held their annual stage competition. The Tony Shelley Cup was won by Careena Fenton performing as her Victorian alter ego, Miss Sylvia Sceptre. This is the first time ever that the cup has been awarded to a solo female performer since the Competition began in 1962. Careena is pictured, receiving the trophy from WCM president, Mark Harrington. Adam Hudson lecture - The Modern Mystic League, Blackburn. Adam Hudson will present his 'The Mind of Adam Hudson' lecture for The Modern Mystic League in Blackburn on Sunday 14th April at 2pm.
