Pat Page Talk

The Merlin Magical Society had a brilliant evening, hosted by Janette Page
and Philip Pound.
The evening consisted of Janette talking about her Father's life as a magician,
magical advisor and loving Father. There was a slide show, which accompanied the
talk, with lots of pictures and some video footage covering the life of Pat
Page; some of which has never been shared before in the magic world.
Some of the photos shown were taken by Philip Pound, who is a professional
photographer by trade. He also had lots of stories to share about his times with
Pat. Philip showed lots of pictures that he had taken, including the ones used
for the last couple of books published.
After the talk, there was a chance to purchase many of the Pat Page effects,
including the last book written by Pat, 'Magic Page by Page'.
I have to say that even though this was a talk, and not the typical magic
lecture that we are usually used to seeing at magic clubs, it was very
entertaining indeed. I would definitely recommend the Pat Page Talk to any magic
society, as it is a piece of our magical history.
I would like to thank both Janette Page and Philip Pound who gave up their time
free of charge, to come to our club and put on such a different and entertaining
evening.
