The Kent Magicians Guild

Our first meeting of the year, on January 30th, saw a new lecture on the circuit from Patrick Page Magic. When Pat Page died eight years ago he had just finished his legacy book, Page By Page, and his daughter Janette formed the company solely to promote the book. It is a comprehensive study by a master of his craft, an advisor on many TV and Film shows, lecturer, and fun guy.
Pat was always inventing new tricks, and had an encyclopediac memory of past tricks, having worked as a magic salesman for Davenport s, and Dick Chavel s shop. And if you showed him a trick, he would be sure to give you a better ending, from his vast experience.
The lecture, by Janette and her husband Phillip Pound, covers his whole career, up to the finished book, which was completed only one week before he died. This is not a dealer-dem, but Pat s Bio, and a great lecture that would suit any magic club.
