Merlins
of Wakefield have some original 'Dippy Ducks' in stock. They found
the component parts, assembled them in their workshops, and then brought
this classic comedy prop back to life. Merlins email: "Although there
are some slight blemishes on the paintwork, these Ducks work perfectly,
and we believe are far superior to the modern day copies made abroad.
The last price we can find on these is £64.95 in 1993, so we are doing
them at the same price for the time being. Get one now, as once these
are gone, that's it - for ever!"

The LaBal. Paul Gordon emails: "I'm not a great fan of the
so-called glossies. Too many adverts for my liking. The alternative
is/are the privately published magic magazines. Trouble is, too many
fold (excuse pun) or are - kindly put - late! Al Smith's The LaBal is
never late, it's not glossy and there are no ads. So what is there?
Well, it's jam packed with news, reviews, tricks, thoughts, ideas,
strong opinions, stories and more. It's a whopping 55 pages (or more)
and it's of the A4 format. It's big. I love it and I highly recommend
it. If you liked Al's Abacus, you'll love The LaBal. IMHO, it's better!
Well, it's certainly different. To find out more, email Al for details:

Mr. Coffee is a name that has disappeared from the magic scene.
For many years he was a popular children's entertainer working in and
around the London area. As one of the 'Reg Webb' team he worked
regularly on cruise ships and at many top venues in and around London.
His client list included many well known stars of TV and film. It can
now be revealed that he is alive and well. Retired from the commercial
world of entertainment he is enjoying life in North Wales. Deeply
involved with Christian church work he still performs occasionally in
his local area and in Romania, working with orphaned and local poor
children there. Alan Tuttle. 17.4.10 |
