Change Tie! New from lexschoppi.com "Quick Change Tie is ideal for
close-up or table hopping. Don't confuse this tie transformation with
other principles which change one and the same tie. Here you are
actually changing one tie for any other tie that you wish. This version
is suitable for the most elegant occasions and is no cheap clown gag.

Mathew
Youngs and Tinie Tempah. "On Tuesday I was hired to perform close-up
magic at the Trent Uni Graduation Ball, held at the famous Trent FM
Arena. After nearly three hours performing for the 2500 guests in a hot,
loud environment, I found myself backstage in a rather lighter and
quieter environment (phew!). As I regained composure, I was lucky enough
to meet the girl pop group 'The Saturdays' just before they went on
stage, next thing I knew I was performing for Number 1 Hip Hop artist
Tinie Tempah (photo) and being filmed by Radio 1 DJ- Huw Stevens (I'm
trying to get hold of this footage). Luckily I overcame the pressure and
pulled off some strong effects. Tinie Tempah was amazed and 'all round
nice guy Huw Stevens' gave me rave reviews as I hung-out back stage. I
made it home at about 2am, knackered and without much of my voice
remaining but buzzing from a great night!"

Do you remember this magician, Alfred Giddings, aka ‘Zomah’ the
mind-reader? Jay Fortune emails: "...he and his wife did a double
mind reading act and he died in a Denmark Hill S.E. hospital after a
short illness aged 70. His real name was Mr. Alfred Giddings, a former
architect. If any readers of MagicWeek have any details of this chap,
including the Institute of Magicians of which he was President, that
would be great. Having asked around some pro’s from the war-era, nobody
appears to have heard of this couple! Any news readers have can be sent
to mail@jfortune.co.uk. Many
thanks." 19.6.10 |
