Conjuring
at the Court - Christmas Show for Children, on Thursday 30th December at
2.30pm. "Our Christmas show for children proved a hit so we’re
repeating it this year, this time featuring David Tomkins and Scott
Penrose. It’s a show for children but it’s not childish – adults will be
highly entertained and baffled too. David Tomkins is a wonderful
children’s entertainer with his own magical creations and puppet
routines. He was recently a UK prize winner at the Intercontinental
Children's Entertainer Championships in Blackpool. Scott Penrose is a
master magician who makes doves, cards and scarves appear from thin air.
He’s performed at the London Palladium and all over the world, his act
was a hit with the children last year and we’re delighted to have him
back. The show is in the lovely and just refurbished function room of
the Drayton Court, 2 The Avenue, West Ealing W13 8PH (Map).
Doors open 2pm, show starts 2.30pm and lasts 1 ½ hours with an interval.
Tickets £6 children (up to 16) £8 adults via
www.conjuringatthecourt.com, email
tickets@conjuringatthecourt.com, or on the door if available."

"Magicians
from the world over gathered at the Mermaid Theatre complex, quite
near St. Paul’s cathedral and overlooking the Thames, to attend three
days packed with great magic – the 39th International Magic Convention,
known to most as Ron’s Day after its founder, the late Ron MacMillan.
Ron’s children, Martin and Georgina, and his widow, Teresa, now run the
event, as well as the International Magic shop in Clerkenwell, and there
is an intimacy and warmth about this convention which I dearly love..."

Dragon’s Den, and has also captured John Cleese perfectly in the
background! Jayne says “I was both amazed and delighted when I saw the
picture; I knew John Cleese was amongst a whole host of celebrities at
the event, but I had no idea he was standing right behind me at the
time!” she adds “I did see him later on in the evening when I performed
magic at his table though!” Jayne concludes “I’m definitely going to add
this picture to the celebrity gallery on my web site. There are about 20
pictures on there already and I have about 20 new ones to put on, and
this will definitely be one of them!”
