Today
is Magic Moments Day. This is the fourth year of this charitable
initiative whose simple aim is to promote magic and magicians
throughout the day whilst making someone's day magical.
Why not join in and create a magic moment for someone today? A magic
trick at an unexpected time can truly brighten someone's day. This year
the organisers also had a Zimbabwe Magic Trick appeal for African
Orphans. Jay Fortune says that so far, thanks to kind donations, they
have over 350 tricks to ship out! Updates and details will appear on the

Ian
Rowland's Applied Cold Reading Masterclass. Ian writes, "Here’s a special
offer for MagicWeek readers. Mentalist Ian Rowland teaches his ACR or ‘Applied
Cold Reading’ Masterclass once a month in central London. It’s not about magic,
mentalism or psychics as such. It’s about how some cold reading techniques can
be used in other, non-performance contexts. ACR has been described as ‘like
being able to read minds, but for business and professional purposes’. You can
find out more about ACR, what it is and why it’s useful, on Ian’s website:
www.appliedcoldreading.com. The next ACR Masterclass runs October 29-30th in
a venue near Covent Garden, London. 10am to 5pm on Saturday, and then 10am to
4pm on Sunday. The class normally costs £430, but MagicWeek readers can book a
place for just £125. That’s over 70% off the normal price! However, this offer
is limited to the first two MagicWeek readers who take advantage of it. If
interested, email ian@ianrowland.com and
mention ‘MagicWeek Special Offer’."
