the International Brotherhood of Magicians are pleased to announce that the
headliner at the Dundalk Day of Magic on Sunday 3rd May 2015 will be the

Since then Kieron has unleashed his highly acclaimed 'Chaotic' DVD and his
ultimate finale to any impossible card location effect 'Remaxed Iceolation'.
Expect something unique and entertainingly outrageous! This will be an exclusive
appearance in Ireland and as well as his two-hour lecture and after-dinner
cabaret appearance, Kieron will be sessioning all day, and probably long into
the night! "Brilliant, mad, obsessive thinking, that has created spectacular
effects. You are a true one off. Keep up the brilliant work." Andy Nyman
Magician, Actor & Director.
The venue is the stunning
Carrickdale Hotel and Spa which is now accepting overnight bookings. Mention
that you are attending the convention for special one, or two, night deals.

Breaking Magic
series 2 is currently being repeated on Discovery: "It's back for a
second season of jaw-dropping illusions performed by four of the world's
most innovative magicians around the globe as they transform pure
science into head-scratching magic tricks. As Ben, Billy, Wayne and Nate
wow audiences on the streets of London, New York and Warsaw, you'll
learn about the chemistry, physics and biology behind the world's
greatest illusions. Breaking Magic fuses the showmanship and mystery of
street magic with the raw power of science. Watch as each trick
surprises unsuspecting bystanders with mystifying results; including
overpowering an entire American Football team to levitating fast food to
a life-threatening underwater escape and many more. Hidden cameras on
the streets capture bystanders awestruck by these magicians' unexpected
tricks, while viewers get the benefit of the magicians' insight, as they
explain the scientific reality behind each illusion." See

Magician
breaks club record: "David Baker from Prestatyn has become the only magician
in history to win the North Wales Magic Circle Close-up competition, Mental
Magic competition, and the Stage Magic competition in the same year since the
Circle began in 1942. The NWMC is a most prestigious magical society; some
members are internationally known performers, two have had their own TV series
and we have a World Champion of Magic in the membership. In addition to winning
all of the competitions, David was awarded the Derek Lawrence Wand for services
with the club magazine and the prestigious Presidents Cup. Alan Astra, president
of the International Brotherhood of Magicians British Ring, presented David with
the awards at the NWMC annual dinner on the 22nd November in the Springfield
hotel Holywell. If that wasn't enough David was also presented with the North
Wales Magic Circle presidency on the same evening." L to R: Alan Astra, David

Stanley
Kubrick’s majestic 2001: A Space Odyssey is enjoying a limited
nationwide cinema release starting this week. Theatre, cinema and indeed all the arts
should be allowed to crossover into magic thinking. Will 2001 help you
with your double lift? Probably not. But if you want to inject a little theatre
into your performances it may inspire you in some way. This is a rare
opportunity to see this masterpiece, nearly 50 years on, on the big screen, in
all its digitally remastered glory. To watch the trailer and find out if it's on
near you
Click Here. Still not tempted? The movie features numerous visual illusions,
and even a 'no thread' floating pen sequence to ponder over, but really just see
it for its sheer cinematic brilliance. DT.
