South Tyneside International Magic Festival is now just two weeks away. Delegates will get the chance to learn from some of the greatest minds in modern magic, as leading performers from America, South East Asia and the UK share some of their secrets and tips in a series of lectures, demonstrations, workshops and a dealer showcase. Performers this year include Singapore’s Ning: Mind Magic Mistress, plus American favourites Rob Zabrecky (photo), Asi Wind, Mahdi Gilbert and Adam Wilber. There will also be plenty of British talent on hand, including Simon Hannah, Ken Dyne, Mark James and Michael Murray.

Booker Steve Gore, who will also be taking to the stage himself, says it will be a packed weekend for delegates: “We’ve worked hard to secure some of the biggest and best acts from across the globe who will be sharing some of their secrets throughout the weekend. The convention will include all kinds of workshops, lectures and up close demonstrations, where delegates can learn from some of the best in the business. There will be plenty of chances to browse the dealer showcase, as well as show off their own skills in the one-trick contest. We are hoping for a really good turnout, but I would encourage anyone who is thinking about coming to buy a ticket now before they sell out.”  www.southtyneside.gov.uk. 4.3.17
