It's
magic for Berglas. Cape Times ran a story on David Berglas' MBE, and
David's connection with Cape Town's only magical arts organisation, the College
of Magic, a non-profit organisation that reported how thrilled they were on
hearing David Berglas' news: "David's generous philanthropic support has seen
the creation of many training facilities benefiting thousands of students and
tens of thousands of school learners who have attended the College of Magic over
the past 39 years. His inspiration, encouragement and recognition have played a
pivotal role in building our organisation internationally and from within,
strengthening our important transformative role among the youth of South
Africa." The College of Magic, brainchild of current director, David Gore,
opened its doors on February 23rd, 1980 providing desperately needed performance
arts training for aspirant entertainers from all sections of the community. See
