Youth scholarship initiative for young magicians
and Vanishing Inc. Podcasts: The Session is the UK's only dedicated close-up magic convention and is
held every January in Heathrow, London. Next year's event will feature
performances and lectures from David Williamson, David Regal, Denis Behr, Andrew
Goldernhersh, Henry Harrius, and many more. Organisers Andi Gladwin and Joshua
Jay have announced a youth scholarship programme to help young magicians
(under eighteen) attend: "At Vanishing Inc. we’ve been running a youth scholarship for Magifest for some
time. It’s super simple. Anyone under 18 can get a free pass for the convention
(plus one for a parent/guardian). All they need to do is perform one free pubic
show at a school, hospital, anything. Send us the proof of that, and they can
get in free.
For the first time we’re doing the same thing for The Session." For more
information and to apply

by Damian Jennings who this week finds out about Rug Rats, secrets, onions on
pizza and what's wrong with the Hot Rod force thanks to David Regal,

MLM
Web Offers August 2019. Two very contrasting items are on promotion this
month. The first is a children's effect called Gnashers. Based on the classic
Lesson In Magic plot, this entertaining routine involves the exploits of a
chosen silk hanky which 'accidentally' gets damaged and which the performer
attempts, somewhat haphazardly, to repair with magic. Full of funny bits of
business, this effect is perfect for the 3-6 age range and only requires a few
silks, a change bag and a set of wind up chattering teeth. Full instructions are
supplied as a downloadable PDF E-Routine text file. The second Web Offer is a
wonderfully different feature close up routine called The Emperor's Coins. This
Boston Box effect has a presentation which is comic and unusual and which
incorporates magic that is surprising with a strong ending. This comes as a
TricKlip Video Download featuring live performance and full studio explanation.
Both the above products are generously discounted this month, so go to
www.markleveridge.co.uk/offers.php for full info and to order.
