'Shaman & Showman' with Jeff McBride and Larry Hass. A brand-new two day conference. Jay Fortune writes: I'm pleased to announce 'Shaman & Showman', a brand-new two day conference sponsored by Magicseen happening on March 28th & 29th, 2020 in Blackpool. For the first time ever, Jeff McBride and Larry Hass will be presenting two unique one-day conferences exploring the healing art of meaningful magic. McBride's Mystery School have hosted events in Las Vegas for many years which I have long planned to bring a flavour of to magicians in the UK (namely the 'Magic & Medicine' and 'Magic & Meaning' conferences). Shaman & Showman is a two-day event.

Saturday 28th March, 10am-6pm: The Healing Power of Magic. Open to doctors, medical practitioners, therapists, healers, as well as magicians and magic practitioners. Learn how the art of magic can be used in therapeutic environments. With an intense focus on raising your magic—and your performances—to a whole new level.

Sunday 29th March, 10am-6pm: The Meaning of Magic. Magic is the art of Transformation. You will learn enough material to create a brand new show and, more importantly, you'll leave with a deeper, more refined appreciation for the power of your own magic, and how to tap into your best inner-magician.

Both dates are very limited as there will be group/individual learning with over £150 worth of free merchandise (different bundle each day). Plus, Early Bird tickets are now on sale at a reduced price. Each day is only £55, or just £99 for the entire weekend (until 31.12.19). We have secured a holistic training venue for the conference. Your ticket includes arrival drinks and buffet lunch. It's taken a lot of preparation over many years to make these events a reality and may never be repeated. If you want to spend a weekend with two of the greatest teachers in magic and explore how magic can be used for deeper connection, then please book your ticket today. Full details and venue information: www.jayfortune.co.uk/product-category/shaman-showman. If you've ever dreamed of attending the Las Vegas conferences and never made it, don't delay in booking your ticket today at a fraction of the cost and treat yourself to a sample of these magical experiences.

The Magic Circle Children's Entertainer of the Year Competition 2019. From the organisers: On the afternoon of Sunday 17th November, The Magic Circle will be opening its doors at 12 Stephenson Way, London NW1 2HD (nearest tube stations are Euston and Euston Square) to the public to hold its very first Children’s Entertainer of the Year Competition. Competing in the live final are: Magic Mikey, Quentin Reynolds, Edward Hilsum, Mr Biscuit, Nutty Natty and Magic Dave. We would like to encourage as many children as possible to attend, and so audience tickets will be free for children aged 12 years and under (no more than 2 children per adult). For children ages 13 - 17 years, tickets will be £10 each and for everyone over the age of 18 years, tickets will be £15 each. The show will be a family show, suitable for the young and the young at heart and to make it as fun and interactive for the children as possible, all children (aged 12 years and under) in the audience will be voting for their favourite entertainer. Doors open at 1.30pm and the competition gets under way at 2.30pm (expected finishing time 4.30pm). Tickets and further information are available now from www.ticketsource.co.uk. [It's great news that The Magic Circle is introducing a new competition specifically for Children's Entertainers that will recognise excellence in children's entertainment. Most of us will remember seeing a magician during our childhoods and the impact magic had on us at that time. Those early days are when a lot of us got hooked on magic; ironically we then go on to spend a lifetime trying to entertain adults with magic instead! DT] 19.10.19
