The
MagicWeek Video Archive: Wayne Dobson Close-up! During the week I added more
videos to The MagicWeek Video Archive. "Wayne Dobson Close-up" was a one-off
show made back in 1995 that also included guest magician Tommy Wonder
performing some of his classic close-up magic. It would have made a great series.
Wayne kindly made this copy for me all those years ago as I was away when it
went out. So we should doubly thank Wayne for this one! Here it is:

The
MagicWeek Video Archive. 50 Greatest Magic Tricks. This show
features the 50 Greatest Magic Tricks "as voted for by Members of The Magic Circle"
hosts Adam & Joe boldly announce. There are some glaring
omissions and some questionable additions, due no doubt to what was available, what
wasn't, and what needed a little 'push', but overall it is an entertaining show:

The
MagicWeek Video Archive. Doug Henning Close-up. A compilation of eight
close-up magic routines from Doug Henning's TV Specials that I put together last
week. First, from Doug Henning's World of Magic 1979, recorded live at the
Hilton Las Vegas, the Fred Kaps Dancing and Floating Cork and some reflective
coin magic. Then from 1982's Magic on Broadway, a fast-solving Rubik's Cube and
Chop Cup routine, and finally, from Doug Henning's World of Magic 1977, finger
manipulation exercises, a torn and restored cigarette paper, a haunted deck, a
cut and restored handkerchief and a coins across routine.

Slinky
Drinky Pro by Gary Dunn - a Practical Magic Exclusive. In 2019 we
put out Slinky Drinky, which instantly sold out at Trix in the Stix! Now
it's back, improved, and comes with a great fun routine. If you've seen
Gary's 'Watch the Water' effect on his 'Keep them Laughing' DVD, you'll
know it's a great routine with lots of great bits of business and some
strong magic too. Pour water into a mug. Mix it up with two more
identical mugs, and get a helper to guess where the water is. Whatever
mug they choose, you will empty over your head! The kids can never find
the water, and finally when they think they've found it, instead of
water - a large colourful Slinky drops out! You must have been using
'spring' water! Our new version, comes with: A redesigned and improved
removable gimmick. Two extra mugs. Gary's 'Water Monte' routine as
featured on his 'Keep Them Laughing' DVD. A supply of slush powder to
get you started straight away! For more info and to order visit
www.practical-magic.com.

Mark
Leveridge's Free-Buys. Week 14. This week you can receive a free
link to download one of Mark's most popular stand-up effects, The Ring
Competition. This is an audience involving presentation for a three
phase ring on rope sequence that is not only fun, but actually makes
some sense about repeating the same effect three times (albeit with a
different method on each occasion!). You will require a ring (e.g. a 5"
chrome one) and a length of rope, and you will receive a PDF download of
the detailed illustrated instructions which give the three strong moves
used and the all important patter and presentation. To get this free
download you simply need to place an order for something else with MLM
at some point before midnight on Friday 24th July 2020! For more
information and to watch a dem go to

The
July Mark Leveridge Podcast. Time to sit back and relax for half an
hour in the company of Mark Leveridge as he presents opinion and advice
on the following themes: The lockdown aftermath may initially change
the tricks that we can do in close up. Morgan and West contend that the
strolling magician has to fight for the attention of his audiences.
Enjoy the tale of my brush with the law extracted from E-Club Pro’s It
Could Only Happen Live. Female magicians have to try that much harder to
succeed in magic it seems. The rise of the podcast shows an increase in
the popularity of audio information. Your magic fan base changes as you
progress through your magic ‘career’. Mark's podcasts are free and
are published on the 1st of every month. You can listen online or
download the July issue from either
www.markleveridge.co.uk/podcast-archive, or
www.markleveridge.podbean.com from where you can also sign up to be
a follower and thus receive every new edition as soon as it is
published..

Axel
Hecklau's live online Bunny Bill Zoom Workshop. Learn Bunny Bill by
Robert Neale in an Axel Hecklau live online workshop. Axel Hecklau
writes: Bunny Bill is not a magic trick, but a very original little
"smile maker". Take a bank note and fold it to create a rabbit in a hat!
What a nice way to make gifts of money. Bunny Bill is not just an
origami object; you can animate the rabbit making it pop out of the hat!
Up to 12 participants will learn the
procedure step by step, asking any questions along the way. By the end
you will not only have folded Bunny Bill once, you will have 5
intermediate steps in front of you on your desk. This will help you
after the workshop to recap. In addition to that you will get a video as
well. Bunny Bill was published by Robert Neale the first time in 1964.
Luckily Robert Neale grave me permission to teach Bunny Bill in a
workshop to you - many thanks for that.
Zoom Video Meeting, duration about 1.5 to 2
hours. Max 12 participants. Step by Step explanation, questions possible
at any time. Inclusive specially designed practice paper (you will need
a printer). My next workshop in the English language will be on Sunday
August 16th at 7pm London time, 8pm Berlin time, 11am Los Angeles time,
2pm New York time. For more info and to register visit
