The
new deluxe edition of Robert-Houdin’s Memoirs is available to pre-order today,

referred to as "the father of modern magic" in gratitude of the many
developments he made in the art of conjuring. He created many magic effects and
pioneered the use of electricity, both for stage tricks and for more practical
purposes. In this book, he describes his life, achievements and struggles with
great story-telling and humour.
In this new definitive edition, Lacelles Wraxall’s 1859 translation is
reproduced in full, along with his preface written for the British and American
editions. It is the first British edition to be fully indexed and it also

the return of face to face meetings with our first double lecture from Mark
Traversoni and Mark Infiniti who will be presenting their lecture that features
magic from their real world working performances.
Taking place on Thursday 7th October at our usual venue: Pond Hills Lane
