Paul Evening - Kent Magicians Guild. Tuesday, 25th January. Mike
Ingham writes: The Kent Magicians Guild always puts on stunning magic
evenings, but this January's lecture is probably the best one yet. Marc
Paul, winner of the Best Mind Reader Award at the Los Angeles World
Magic Awards, and frequent TV guest, has very kindly agreed to give a
show and lecture for us on 25th January. Marc is a mind reader,
psychological magician and corporate event speaker who has entertained
and amazed audiences both in the UK and worldwide with his incredible
award-winning performances. This is a lecture not to be missed... free
to members and guests joining on the night, for all others the cost is

closure of the previous venue MagiCon 2022 will now take place in the
Balmoral Hotel, Dunmurry, Belfast with the Sunday Gala Show at the
Belvoir
Players Studio Theatre - a popular 200 seater intimate venue we last
visited in 2013.

Giant
Size Show Stopper - Mr E Enterprises: This really is the ultimate in
startling visual card magic. Several giant-sized playing cards that have
been cut in half are dealt face down into two piles. You and a
participant each select one pile, both stand facing the audience and you
both shuffle your cards. You now both secretly select a half-card and
exchange it with each other; and then you each insert your new half-card
face up into your face down packet. When the two packs of cards are
checked, and the two chosen half-cards are shown to the audience, they
are seen to exactly match, making a perfect full giant picture card. But
were all the half-cards the same?
When the other half-cards are turned faces upwards your audience are in
for a stunning show stopping surprise as they are all red-faced cards
while the halves of the selected card are black, and furthermore form
the only picture card in the stack... all the others being pip cards!
Only half-sized giant playing cards are used in this enthralling effect.
