Paul
Brook Lecture - Manchester Circle of Magicians. Alex D Fisher, Entertainment
Secretary, writes: Paul was a psychologist before becoming a full-time
entertainer. Eighteen years later he still loves his decision to enter showbiz.
Aside from an impressive list of clients and a performing all over the world,
Paul is known for being a creator of modern mentalism that is divergent in
thinking and yet real-world workable. Having written more than forty books on
the subject of mentalism it's easy to see why Paul is also kept busy consulting
behind the scenes for both television and theatre shows alike. It isn't just
mentalism effects that Paul has become known for. Drawing on his psychological
education and knowledge he analyses the theoretical applications of mentalism
and his stand alone book on mentalism theory The Alchemical Tools is
considered a modern classic.
This brand new lecture contains 3 previously
unreleased pieces of psychological entertainment fully detailed in the 114 page
lecture notes that are free for each attendee. For those who attend, you will
also be treated to 2 new releases at a highly discounted price. If that wasn't
enough, He's giving away two pieces of mentalism that will fit in your wallet
for everyone attending - again for free! Monday 8th August at 7.pm. Members only
(Non-members, £10 charge, by prior arrangement only, contact Alex Fisher
(Entertainment Secretary) or Steve Ablett (President) . Manchester Circle of

Neville,
Magician's rabbit by Tek and Tock.
A new cartoon strip about a magician and his sarcastic sidekick rabbit is hoping
to tickle the funny bones of the magic community, and also the wider public.
Writer and hobbyist magician Paul Osborne (pen-name Tock) has teamed up with
cartoonist Elijah Kaburia (aka Tek) to launch the cartoon Neville, Magician's
Rabbit, which they post on social media as Tek Tock Toons.
Paul said: "The strip is always two panels of Neville's jibes, telling Al the
magician how rubbish he is, followed by Al getting his revenge by putting the
rabbit in a sword box, encasing him in a block of ice (David Blaine style), or
other dangerous illusions. It's ambiguous whether Neville will die every week. Maybe
Al is just scaring him? And who doesn't like a bit of sarcasm followed by some
comedy violence?
"It's the classic double act, where the reader can't understand why the two of
them would stay together. But they do."
You can follow Tek Tock Toons on
Facebook and
Instagram or visit
www.ko-fi.com/tektocktoons/gallery to see all the cartoons.
