Wonka
Magic. Paul Kieve has reunited with Harry Potter movie producer
David Heyman to create magic on the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
prequel, Wonka, released in the UK on December 10th. Directed by Paul
King (The Mighty Boosh, Paddington) the film stars Timothée Chalamet as
the young chocolate impresario. Chalamet’s Wonka character has a back
story in magic and sleight of hand which introduces him to his famous
showmanship and magical style.

Martin Cox Auction - Watford Association of Magicians, 5th December. Andy Clockwise writes: On Tuesday 5th December, the Watford Association of Magicians will be holding an auction on behalf of the late, great Martin Cox at their HQ. Martin had been in the business a very long time, and over that time had collected a lot of Magic. Not everything that Martin purchased made it into his shows, for one reason or another, and many items are still brand new and sealed in their original packaging. As well as these items there will of course be pieces that Martin did perform with and this will be a great opportunity to pick up something personally used by Martin in a performance.
The auction will be held on Tuesday 5th December at the Henderson Hub, Abbotts Langley, Hertfordshire WD5 0AR with a large car park nearby. Doors will open at 7.30pm and the auction will start at 8pm prompt. This is an "open" evening at the WAM HQ and if you do come along, please bring cash as it will be a cash only auction. Gallagher Lecture - Leicester Magic Circle, Monday 4th December.
From the organisers: Kevin has enjoyed several decades working as a
professional magician at Exhibitions and Promotions, Corporate Events
and Private Functions. He has previously lectured or performed at many
UK and European magic societies and events, was summer resident magician
at 'Accademia Italiana Arte Magica', and has enjoyed competition success
at the International Magic Convention and European Championships
(Vienna). He has made multiple appearances at FFFF and performed at FISM
(Stockholm).
The lecture features unique teaching of sleight of hand magic that is
suitable for almost all conditions using no special props, lending
itself to impromptu situations. There are no items for sale, but

Index for the New Pentagram now available. Dr. Michael Colley
writes: I'm pleased to announce that, just in time for Christmas, I have
completed the "Colley Index" to the New Pentagram, Edited by Peter
Warlock from 1969 to 1989. There are 2,134 article entries, with up to 9
categories per entry (there are 520 categories), 5,853 name entries and
320 photo and picture entries. The price is £25.
This is an addition to the Colley Series of Indices, which also includes
ABRAcadabra, Club71/The Magician, Demon Telegraph*, The Gen*,
Goodliffe's Magic Monthly, The Jinx, Magic Magazine* (Max Andrews),
Magigram*, Magic Wand (Photos only), Mind & Magic (Ted Lesley), The
Pentagram (also edited by Peter Warlock), Stanyon's "Magic" and The
Wizard. There is also an index to 14,013 photographs in the first 100
volumes of The Magic Circular. All can be searched by Author, Title and
