The
Magic Circle Christmas Show - London. The Magic Circle Christmas Show is our
annual fundraising special event with all proceeds being donated to The Magic
Circle Foundation. Suitable for all the family, the spectacle begins mid
December with a matinee and evening performance every day until early in the New
Year (with a couple of days off for Christmas Day and Boxing Day so the cast and
crew can recharge their batteries with a mince pie or two!).

Carl
De Rome - Magical Memories in aid of Trinity Hospice. From the
organisers: Carl De Rome Magical Memories - A variety fund raising show honoring the
legacy of the late Carl De Rome. Located at The Royal British Legion in
Blackpool town centre and just a five minute walk from the Winter
Gardens, this event is running from 12noon to around 6pm with acts
including Comedians, Singers, Magicians and more, all performing to help
raise funds for Trinity Hospice who looked after Carl at home in his
final days before he passed on the Monday morning straight after the
Blackpool Magic Convention 2023.
This event organised by his friend Peter Young the UK's number one Meat Loaf tribute entertainer is not running in competition with the Convention, indeed it would always have taken place, but all involved decided on 18th February so that many of Carl's magical friends from around the world who usually would not be able to pay their respects can pop in maybe for an hour or two in-between official convention events round the corner at The Winter Gardens. Tickets are Just £10 from the Blackpool Royal British Legion (if you live nearby), otherwise they are £10 with a small booking fee from www.eventbrite.co.uk. Misdirection - A Full Day Workshop with Tom Stone - Nottingham on Monday 8th January. Chris Wilder writes: Whilst you can read a lot about the art of "misdirection", learning how to apply it, and how to practice it, is an illusive subject. Presented by Swedish magician Tom Stone and in association with The Curious Cabaret, this workshop will not focus on the teaching of routines and methods, but rather give delegates the skills to greatly improve their existing performances through a careful study and application of theory through individual and group exercises. The workshop is therefore recommended only for professionals or magicians with a serious interest in elevating their work.
The day is ideal for parlour acts, but close-up and stage performers will also get a lot out of the day. There are only 20 places, with a limited number of early bird tickets available until the end of November. Includes breakfast pastries, refreshments and lunch.
