Legends
of The Magic Circle - An Evening Celebrating Patrick Page. Monday 22nd
January from 7.30pm - 9pm at The Magic Circle, London. The Magic Circle write:
Janette Page (daughter) and her husband Philip will share with us film of Pat
performing, and photos of him and his magic friends and family. We will hear how
he first got involved in magic and the great career that followed. He was a
magician, teacher, comedian, historian, demonstrator, author, lecturer, compere
and all round entertainer.
Pat was good friends with all the famous magicians of his era. Janette tells of
frequent visitors to the house including Goshman, Ricky Jay, Jay Marshall,
Fogel, Vernon, Silvan, Terri Rogers et al. Philip discusses the books, The Big
Book of Magic and Magic Page by Page. A private and modest man who rarely spoke
of his achievements, his family lift the lid on his huge contribution to magic.
This is a light-hearted, entertaining celebration of the life of Patrick Page.
Entrance is free for Members and Associates of The Magic Circle and £20 for
non-members (welcome) who would like to attend. Non-members should email

Northern
Magic Circle Convention - updates. Brian Lead, Secretary of the
Northern Magic Circle, writes: Three more exciting names have been added
to the lineup for the NMC’s Spring Convention, to be held at the Crown
Hotel in Harrogate over the weekend of 6/7 April.
Romany, the Diva of Magic, will be performing her full show and
presenting her inspiring ‘Spun Into Gold’ lecture. Romany is the only
female magician to have held the prestigious title of ‘Magic Circle
Stage Magician of the Year’, and is the only British winner of the Las
Vegas World Magic Award. King Charles said of her: "Absolute genius –
and so funny!"
Franklin the Mind Magician has twice held the title of ‘Mind
Magician of the Year’, and is widely recognised as one of the leading
exponents of this branch of magic. He will be lecturing, and performing
in the gala show.
Andrew Normansell is a prolific creator of magic, and has
performed extensively in the UK and abroad. With over 25 years of
experience, he will be passing on valuable advice in a lecture and
offering some of his very commercial routines for sale.
