Roger
Caseby Memorial Trophy. Adrian Harris writes: On Wednesday evening,
magicians from three Scottish Clubs, St. Andrew’s Magic Circle, Dundee
Society of Magicians and Perth Magic Circle met up to compete for the
Trophy which was donated by Roger's family, in his memory. Roger was a
Past President of the Scottish Association of Magical Societies and was
well know throughout Fife, and amongst the entire Scottish Magic
Fraternity as 'Roger the Dodger'.
The competition was held in the clubroom of the Bridge of Earn Bowling
Club, with the audience comprising of members of the Bowling Club, plus,
we had two visitors from Sicily and one from Cyprus. There were eight
performers participating who were each limited to 10 minutes and it was
good to note that no one exceeded the time allowed! After a short recess
for the judges to confer, the results were announced with Dusty Miller
(Perth M.C.) in 1st Place, Ian Baird (Perth M.C.) runner-up and Jamie
Jester (St Andrew’s M.C.) in 3rd place. The photo shows Dusty receiving
the Trophy from Roger's son Scott, and granddaughter Emma.
