London premiere of Gandini Juggling's Heka. Inspired by
magic, surrealism and the choreography of illusion. The Place, London,

Mime London,

Drawing inspiration from the intricate
connection between juggling and magic, Heka (the Egyptian goddess of
magic) creates a mesmerising realm where reality blurs with illusion.
Heka creates tableaux of enormous visual force, using objects that
materialise and vanish, levitate, multiply, change colour and transform
before our eyes. Can you really differentiate between what is real and
what is merely a trick of perception?
Recent Gandini Juggling shows have focused on the links between juggling
and choreography, thrilling audiences all over the world. Now this
brilliant company explores how magic principles can inform choreographic
expression. Mesmerising, beautiful and unlike anything youve seen
before. Yann Frisch (France) and Kalle Nio (Finland) worked as magic
consultants on the show.

A
new documentary Tommy Cooper: The Lost Tapes will air on Channel
5 this Christmas. The programme features
his guest appearance on The David Frost Show recorded New York in 1969
and his act as seen on a US TV Special in 1967. Sheila Hancock, Trevor
Horn, Pete Firman and other well-known faces will share happy
memories. Tommy Cooper: The Lost Tapes (Monday 30th December,
Channel 5) will be followed by a
Tommy Cooper double-bill, his 1973 and 1974 Christmas shows, in full, as

Conjuring
at the Court - back for Christmas on Sunday 29th December. Starring
Scott Penrose, Marc Paul, Danny Buckler, Mat Ricardo and host Russell
Levinson. From the organisers: Scott Penrose has recreated fabulous
stage illusions from the Golden Age of Magic, personally rebuilding them
to an exceptional standard. Marc Paul is an engaging performer with an
extraordinary mind-reading act that takes him all over the world. Danny
Buckler is a marvelous comedy magician, one of the funniest performers
we have had the luck to put on. And the dapper Mat Ricardo makes a
welcome return to the show, with his charismatic gentleman juggling.
