European Magic History Conference 2025 and 2027. Some 50 to 60 magic aficionados assembled in the beautiful city of Riga, Latvia recently for the 10th European Magic History Conference last month. The event was hosted by local illusionists and magic theatre owners Enrico and Dace Pezzoli, a lovely Italian-Latvian couple bubbling with joy and energy. With financial or logistical support of many local authorities, venues, clubs and companies, they had put together a most diverse program brimming with lectures, shows, exhibitions and surprises in no less than six different venues. Guests and speakers from the UK included Anne Goulden (on the Davenport Brothers' first UK tour) and Fergus Roy (on the life of 'Gilly' Davenport). Jan Isenbart has written a full report on the conference in English with many pictures on his Zzzauber blog. The next EMHC, in two years, will be hosted by Fergus and friends in London at The Magic Circle on September 9th-12th, 2027, see www.emhc2027.com. 13.9.25
