Evening with Terry
Herbert - The Surrey Society of Magicians, Nomad Theatre, East Horsley,
Leatherhead. Paul Dickson writes: It’s not every day you get to celebrate a
true Magic Legend. Join us for a special evening dedicated to Terry Herbert -
filled with laughter, stories and spellbinding magic. We’ll share choice video
clips from Terry’s remarkable career, followed by an on-stage interview with
David Andrews that lifts the curtain on the man behind the miracles.
And because Terry never arrives empty-handed, he’ll also treat us to a couple of
effects (performed live) just to remind us why his work has inspired
generations. Doors open at 7.30pm on Thursday 30th October at The Surrey Society
of Magicians, Nomad Theatre, Bishopsmead Parade, East Horsley, Leatherhead KT24

Murray Lecture - South London Magic Society, 4th November. Simon Rosselli
writes: Michael Murray is world renowned for his creativity within the field of
both magic and mentalism – he also runs and owns MindFX. His premiere release
"Beyond ESP" has sold in excess of 20,000 copies worldwide and quickly earned
him a reputation among such notable names as Richard Osterlind, Banachek and Max
Maven. Most recently Michael consulted for Dynamo on his TV show ‘Buried Alive’
and a magician for BGT.
In this lecture Michael will perform and reveal many of his favourite creations to date, including updates to his earliest releases, brand new material that has yet to be officially released, and a whole host of principles and techniques that are guaranteed to find their way into your working repertoire. Throughout the lecture Michael will invite questions regarding his effects, creative process and his lengthy experience in releasing material commercially.
