Genii.
A New Season Begins. From the publisher: The March issue of Genii
is now live! As always, it’s full of news and magical secrets, and this
month, it’s the debut issue of Genii’s new executive editor, Will
Houstoun. Jim Steinmeyer passed the lamp to Will last month, along with
his pro tips for polishing our beloved lamp. We could not be more
grateful to Jim. Last year, Jim led Genii into a brand-new era,
which was no small order following the tremendous 25-year run by Richard
Kaufman. We are delighted to have Will now at the helm steering the next
era of Genii. See

The
Mark Leveridge Podcast February 2026. The latest 45 minute audio
podcast from Mark Leveridge is currently available and covers the
following topics. Ben Hanlin’s ‘What’s The Trick?’ is well worth a
listen. Deciding who to use as an assistant from the audience. Magical
subtlety is lost when the ‘too perfect’ theory kicks in. Can commercial
magicians just select material that they actually like? Star and
Straight Through join the E-Club Pro Select series. The various things
that spark creativity. The 2026 Session convention was a blast! Thinking
about where to stand when working dinner function tables. Learning to
cope with audience banter in close-up. There are two ways to listen
to this free 45 minute podcast. You can catch it either from
www.markleveridge.co.uk/podcast-archive, or from
www.markleveridge.podbean.com where you can also sign up to be a
follower and receive each new release automatically.

is the magic of cinema. I saw Nouvelle Vague on Monday, and
loved every frame. The film reimagines, and captures beautifully, a moment
in time; the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless.
