Hudson & Hudson: Married at First Sleight - Jacksons Lane, London, Friday 20th March. A hilarious new comedy magic show is heading out on the road this year as top magic duo Hudson & Hudson unveil Married At First Sleight.

Hudson & Hudson are a modern magical double act who are, as the title may suggest, married. The show has incredible mind reading, unbelievable magic, stand up, sketches with smart sleight of hand, and visual set pieces. It’s for anyone who enjoys humour with their magic, all performed in a relatable way from a married couple who do enjoy a bicker!

Alan Hudson is best known for his appearances on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, ITV’s The Next Great Magician and was a winner on Penn & Teller Fool Us. Kat Hudson also performed on Penn & Teller: Fool Us in Las Vegas, although she didn’t fool them... which she is reminded of by Alan every day. On Britain’s Got Talent, Kat’s act got an instant standing ovation from the judges and went viral, amassing over 100 million views online.

The pair have performed everywhere from The Magic Castle in Hollywood to The Magic Circle in London. Friday 20th May at 7.30pm at Jacksons Lane, 269a Archway Road, London N6 5AA. Tickets: www.jacksonslane.org.uk. YouTube.

Matthew Le Mottée's Act Studio - Live. The live rehearsal studio experience. From the organiser: Step into the studio and give your act an advantage most magicians never get: live, director-level feedback from a recognised world class student of our craft in a room capped at five people.

You are invited to bring a piece of work to be placed under the microscope by honorary Doctor of Magic (FFFF) and three times Magic Circle Close-up Magician of The Year, Matthew Le Mottée. Matthew's approach is direct and led by kindness in an effort to support and encourage growth in a safe environment.

What makes this workshop different?
Most workshops are heavy on theory and light on performance. This is performance-led meaning everyone performs, everyone gets directed, and everyone learns from everyone. Because you watch four other people receive real notes, you walk away with insights that apply to your act even if the material is totally different.

And the bonus?
You get to see and feel a room full of magic actually being performed, critiqued and improved.

Who is this for?
This is for magicians who already have material but are looking to have a fresh perspective of their work to help shine a light and unlock new areas for improvement.

Matthew Le Mottée has spent a lifetime in magic and has a reputation for having a high standard for the craft. Matthew doesn’t just have an eye for deconstructing act composition, technique, and delivery, he has an ability to peel back the layers in search of the source of an issue in order to find the best course of action to take. Sunday 29th March, 9am-5pm in central Cambridge. See www.givingmagic.com/workshops for details.

Covent Garden May Fayre and Puppet Festival - Sunday 10th May. Welcome to the 51st Annual Covent Garden May Fayre and Puppet Festival, a joyful celebration in the heart of the West End and the country’s longest‑running puppet festival. Each year, puppeteers from around the world gather to perform, share ideas, and inspire new generations while honoring centuries of tradition.

The festival marks 9th May 1662, when Samuel Pepys recorded seeing "an Italian puppet play" in Covent Garden—the first written account of a Punch & Judy show in England. A plaque on the wall of St Paul’s Church, commemorates this moment. Inspired by this history, the first May Fayre was launched in 1976, and it has been held every second Sunday in May ever since.

Festivities begin at 11am in the garden of St Paul’s Church, Bedford Street, with a grand procession led by a brass band, followed by a toast to Mr Punch at the plaque. At 12 noon, a special service takes place inside St Paul's, often featuring Mr Punch in the pulpit. Visitors can enjoy Punch & Judy shows, puppetry from Britain and abroad, clowns, stilt walkers, magicians, folk dancing, stalls, workshops and refreshments. All Punch & Judy Professors, puppeteers, clowns and family entertainers are invited to take part. See www.mayfayre.uk for further information. Produced by Small Pond Theatre.

Inside Mayfair's most exclusive magic salon: The Magic Hour celebrates 13 years. Within the art deco grandeur of the Sheraton Grand Park Lane hotel, just moments from Green Park, a candlelit drawing room has quietly become home to one of London's most rarefied live experiences. This spring, The Magic Hour marks 13 years as the UK's longest running parlour magic show, conjuring an intimate theatrical salon inspired by the golden age of Victorian illusion.

Created and performed by Sonic (Tony Middleton), Associate of The Inner Magic Circle with Silver Star, finalist in The Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year, and a featured performer on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, the experience builds a space a world away from large scale stage spectacle. Guests are welcomed into an evocative, dark wood panelled setting where the boundaries between the performer and audience dissolve.

The evening unfolds as a dramatic narrative centered on a mysterious 19th century magician, whose props were acquired at auction by Sonic. Sleight of hand, mind reading and classic parlour illusions are delivered with precision building to an extraordinary finale; a candlelit séance conducted in darkness, where objects move untouched and messages appear from 'the other side'.

More reminiscent of a private members' salon than a traditional theatre performance, The Magic Hour maintains its deliberately limited capacity preserving both intimacy and exclusivity. Over 13 years it has played to sold out audiences and was named as one of Metro's Top 10 Halloween Events in London, yet it remains something of a well kept secret among those seeking a more discerning night out. "13 is meant to be unlucky" says Sonic, "but for 13 years this room has been filled with curiosity, suspense and the quiet thrill of disbelief. That feels anything but unlucky". www.magichourshow.com.

Paul Dickson writes: The Ultimate Lecture on Self-Working Miracles — Supercharged for the Real World! Join international entertainer Sean Heydon for a fast-paced, inspiring exploration of the world’s greatest self-working card tricks — and discover how to elevate them into headline-worthy professional routines.

Sean has amassed billions of views across social media, built a global following for his card-magic content, performed for luxury cruise lines, in theatres and television, and released several modern-day classics. In Virtually Autonomous Card Tricks, he reveals how to take simple, almost automatic principles and turn them into high-impact, audience-tested pieces of theatre.

Magic at the Midland - The Best Show in Manchester! From the promoter: Manchester, UK - A one-man comedy magic show at Manchester’s most iconic hotel has been voted the hottest ticket in town. Steve Price, 47, an award-winning Member of The Magic Circle – the world’s most prestigious magical society – has seen his show Magic at the Midland rise to the coveted Number One spot on TripAdvisor.

Despite performing professionally for over 21 years on cruise ships and at venues around the globe, Price has kept a relatively low profile on home soil. That changed in January 2024 when he launched a regular residency at The Midland. “I was looking for a venue to host my show,” says Price. “When I walked past the Rolls-Royce at the front doors, I literally said ‘wow’ – and then I realised that people would say ‘wow’ before the magic had even started!” Magic at the Midland offers audiences the opportunity to experience world-class magic in an intimate setting - right in front of their eyes.

“The combination of humour, charm, and mind-blowing tricks ensures a thoroughly entertaining experience” TripAdvisor review. Magic at the Midland takes place monthly at The Midland Hotel, Manchester. Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 7.30pm. Running time: 75 minutes (no interval). Limited capacity seating. Tickets are available at: www.magicatthemidland.com.
