20th September 2026. Artist Announcement from the organisers: Fritz with a Z
will be performing his Solo Show at The Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton, at 8pm on
Sunday 20th September, the closing event of The I.B.M. British Ring Convention.
Presented as a reverse autobiography told through comedy, magic and
improvisation, the audience travels backwards through his life - from polished
comedy magic to childhood wonder - watching Fritz slowly 'unbecome' a magician
in a theatrical, funny, and surprising variety show.
With performances at the Magic Castle in Hollywood and The Magic Circle in
London under his belt, this award-winning conjuror is the first Dutch magician
who has performed on six continents. Be prepared to get your magical funny bone
tickled!

Dugdale 1 Astonishment 2 Many at the Assembly Rooms, August 6th–30th.
From the promoter: Chris has sold out his preview run for the first time in 13
years, prompting the festival to add four extra dates before opening night. With
decades performing for global audiences from 14 Royal Command performances to
private shows for Beyoncé, Sir Roger Moore, Ozzy Osbourne and the world's most
influential people. This year marks a milestone with Chris recently being
awarded Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star. "I've never sold out a
preview at Edinburgh. It's almost unheard of unless you're Jimmy Carr or an
A-list TV act. It's my 13th year and lucky for some."
The show blends magic, mentalism and Chris's trademark audience interaction. At
its core is a bold nightly experiment inspired by his friend Norman Wanstall,
the only plumber ever to win an Oscar (for Goldfinger, 1964). Wanstall believes
humans have no free will, which is a theory that Chris is determined to
challenge.

Following on from previous successful years, The South Downs Magicians will
again be running their annual Big Sale at Handcross Parish Hall, High Street,
West Sussex RH17 6BJ on Sunday 1st November.
We're not far from Gatwick Airport so close to the A23/M23 so easily accessible.
Sellers to arrive for 8am with buyers from 9am to 1pm. Maximum two dealers per 6ft
trestle table. The last few years we have held a waiting list for sellers and
already 6 tables have gone so get in fast. Magical bargains of all sorts and for
all styles. Refreshments will be available. Please bring cash. The price for
