The 75% Production and The Trick With No Method
by Justin Higham

I don't know if you like card
magic. I guess you do. I'm sure your number one set contains an ambitious card
routine with a card to wallet finish and an Omni Deck kicker. Your number two
set contains a colour changing deck and there's always an invisible deck in your
right jacket pocket. If I've just described your close up card repertoire
perfectly then please do write and tell me just how amazed you were and how
amazing I am. It's a gift and you are welcome to the personal reading I've just
given you.
If we have structured, unchanged routines that we do 20 times a night every
single day then it's very easy to become either mundane in our delivery and
presentation or to miss opportunities as they come up.
Unbelievably, I can recommend a book to counter these problems!
The 75% Production and "The Trick With No Method by Justin Higham is a superb
manual on making the most of opportunities that you see. It's about the sort of
situations when you see two aces together in the middle of the deck and how to
make the most of random opportunities that come up.
It is more training to develop an improvisational mindset and is definitely not
set routines that you would go out to a gig intending to perform. It's magic
that is performed if it "crops up" and not magic that is formed.
It's a fantastic book that provides you with knowledge that, used at the right
time, will give you credit for far more magical effects than you could ever
practise or rehearse for.
Available from Justin's website www.card-magic.com at the incredible price of
£7.50.
If you want to breathe new life into your card magic and get credit for things
you've never rehearsed or planned then this is the book for you.
