if 'all the world' was your Every Day Carry? A question that Max Fulham's
captivating lecture on Ventriloquism, and even its part in magic, answered in
Spades.
Max is one of Britain's top ventriloquists. Travelling the globe with his lips
never moving, he found himself lecturing to us at South Downs Magicians, who
were open-mouthed at his oral dexterity.
Not only did his famous Monkey and Grandad puppets royally entertain us, but he
also demonstrated how entertaining it can be when talking to everyday objects,
such as pedal bins and playing cards.
Max shared with us the secrets of how some of the more difficult “Gockle of
Gear” letters of the alphabet can be overcome through tireless practice and
tongue control.
Those from the Club who witnessed Max's lecture at Blackpool testified that it
was the most enthralling of the Magic Convention, and his lecture to SDM backed
that up.
