All Done by Kindness. A charity magic show making real magic happen.

The Magic Circle Theatre, London

This very special event to support The Magic Circle Benevolent Fund took place last night, 18th September. The evening began with a champagne reception during which guests explored The Magic Circle building and magic collections, took a guided tour of the museum and enjoyed close-up entertainment presented by London's resident mindreader Matt Daniel-Baker, Michael J Fitch a Member of The Inner Magic Circle, and Chris Harding The Magic Circle Close-up Magician of the Year.

In the theatre, a world-class variety show hosted by West End star Simon Lipkin featured the silent magic of our Triple Crown Champion Edward Hilsum, the multi award-winning magician Nick Einhorn, pickpocket James Freedman and the comedy mentalism of John Archer. Opening the second half was the world record holding hula hoop artist Amazi. Edward Hilsum returned, this time without the doves, before Jack Gleadow, the British Comedian of the Year nominee had us laughing till our cheeks ached. Finally to close the show, Jay & Joss, the stars of this year's Britain’s Got Talent, brought us five or six grand illusions and escapes, in their fresh faced, fast paced style.

This sell-out special event really was, "all done by kindness" because all the performers donated their services to the fundraising effort, as did the Tech Crew (Wayne Trice, Jamie Ford and Andrew Trice), Front of House Team (Roger Curtis, Matt Barber, John Hayns and Alexander Crawford) and Video & Photography Crew (Steve Best, Bob Hamilton & Sue Hamilton). An auction and raffle only added to the excitement and the whole event raised over £13,000 for the Charity. Many congratulations to all involved. ★★★★★
