I don't count myself as an expert of Magic & Illusion, however, I have a more than healthy interest in both. I also manage a few performers in this field. My first serious experience of "good" magic was when I was in a Summer Season in Jersey in 1979 working alongside Russ Stevens who had just won The Young Magician of the Year... and I saw why he'd won! He was 17 years old! Brilliant.

Last night myself, Gary & Paul Hardy Brown (TwinsFX), Neal Austin and Richard Cadell went to see Kayden Black on his UK Tour Illusion Impossible. The venue was The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford and I was so pleased to finally get to see Kayden doing his thing. In our business, some people talk the talk about wanting to put their own shows out there and full kudos to Kayden, because he well and truly deserves full praise for the show he put on last night.

Completely entertaining from start to finish, and it left the audience wanting more. Passion and pyros, superb lighting and special FX accompanied his many illusions, some of which I personally had never seen before. Loved his "Wrap" "Geometric" and "Lighting Bike Opening" particularly. Kayden performed a well manoeuvred Mind Reading trick that kept us gripped till his ultimate spell binding finish. Brilliantly executed.

His show featured Michael Carr and Andy Storm who were both fabulous in their own sets plus a wonderful 3 hander with Kayden featuring members of the audience on stage with a hilarious, witty and mind blowing routine. This show deserves to pack out theatres. It's the perfect family show and many children sat enthralled last night by the illusions. I also loved how Kayden treated our younger audience with such care and warmth, at one point letting a 6 year old girl take centre stage to help make the magic happen...all done so charmingly. Shout out to Kayden's two hard working stunning and professional assistants Emily Hull and Sienna Collins too. They truly enhanced the show. Bravo Kayden. You worked so hard and we applaud you! With true magic in their hearts. Thank you.
