Steve Price’s Magic on the Mersey
The Aloft, Liverpool

I was lucky enough to go to the
opening night of Steve Price’s one-man-show Magic on the Mersey on 7th
August 2021. This is an intimate 75-minute parlour show in an elegant
oak panelled room that can comfortably seat 60+. It is to be hoped that
this is the start of a long run for Steve Price at The Aloft in
Liverpool.
The show is jam packed with a variety of magical classics, often with a
Steve Price ‘twist’ that will keep magicians guessing. Steve dresses
immaculately and there is no doubt from the start that the audience is
in the presence of a master magical entertainer. Whether he is
performing manipulations or mental magic, the routines are all really
well-crafted and performed with Steve’s characteristic warmth and
humour.
The show is billed as ‘world class sleight-of-hand and laugh-out-loud
comedy, in the luxurious surroundings of one of the smartest hotels in
town’ and I would agree. I recommend this show without hesitation as
excellent entertainment for lay and magician audiences alike.
