Laura London is one of the Stars of Close Up on Friday morning at the
Convention. She is one of the world’s leading female sleight of hand artists, a
highly skilled close-up magician, cabaret performer, motivational speaker and an
acclaimed lecturer on various aspects of the history of magic.
Also performing is Bernardo Sedlacek, the creator of the bestselling effect ‘Good Intuition’, and known for his amazingly strong magic, unique style, creativity, and extreme card skills. The fabulous line-up of performers also includes Tom Stone, who through the years has gained a reputation for his practical innovations and his knowledge about misdirection and his two books, ‘Vortex’ and ‘Maelstrom’ are known as modern classics. Joining them is Nikola Arkane who auditioned this year for Sweden’s ‘Talang’ (Sweden’s Got Talent) and became a semi-finalist with her unique theatrical style. The
Enchanted Rabbit - Europe's largest used magic dealership. Chris Cross launched
his Enchanted Rabbit Magic Emporium during lockdown, after purchasing Derek
Lever’s collection and business 'Taurus Magic Supplies'. Chris has since purchased the
stock of dealer 'The Card Collection', as well as over 50 other private estates
from the UK and Europe. The Enchanted Rabbit has now grown to become the largest
used magic dealership in the UK and Europe, stocking over 10,000 different
workable, collectable and antique items. The website represents a very small
fraction of stock, but hopefully more items will be added soon. As well as used
magic, there’s a range of exclusive props and collectors items, too.
It really is the one-stop shop for magic apparatus, memorabilia, books, posters

anniversary of 'As if by Magic', an amazing week of magic, illusion and comedy

The
Selbit Saw Souvenir Charm at auction. Fellows Auctioneers write: The charm
that we will offer for sale in our Jewellery auction has amazing provenance. A
woman called Gladys was given the charm in 1921 for taking part in the illusion.
Her granddaughter tells the story:
This gold saw was given to my grandmother by the Magician P.T. Selbit for
assisting in his sawing through a woman act at his show at the Finsbury Park
Empire in 1921. It has been kept by my family ever since. Members of the
audience were invited on stage to help with the act and my grandmother took
part. We can assume that Gladys was one of the people holding the ropes which
