BGT Winner Richard Jones presents his latest UK-wide tour... An Evening of Magic. From the promoter: Following the success of his most recent sell-out magic show, Richard Jones presents An Evening of Magic, a 25-date tour running from October 2022 to May 2023. With psychological illusions, mind-reading, audience participation and never before seen tricks for all the family to enjoy, Richard will leave audiences asking, how did he manage that?

You will recognise Richard from Britain’s Got Talent, which he won in 2016 after securing 2.6 million votes. He is also a Lance Corporal and has starred in Trooping the Colour and the Queen’s 70th Platinum Jubilee celebrations; Richard Jones is a true British icon.

For his latest tour, An Evening of Magic, The Military Illusionist is set to amaze audiences. Richard rose to fame on Britain’s Got Talent after becoming the first and only magician to win the hit talent show, before earning the highest honour in The Magic Circle, the prestigious Gold Star.

"I am really excited about this tour. There are some magic tricks planned that I have never shown before, and I know that people are going to love them. I can’t wait to bring the joy of magic to audiences across the UK. Magic allows people to lose themselves in the wonder of it all, even if it is just for a couple of hours." Richard Jones.

If you want hard hitting material and an honest approach to how to perform to lay public get in touch as I'm now going to let you know how I did it and give you routines that I have never revealed to magicians before. Zoltar's Opener by Peter Nardi. 12 years ago I set myself the task of developing a quick, sure-fire, high impact effect for my mix and mingle performances. I was looking for an alternative to the Invisible Deck (which I used as part of a larger routine at tables). I created an effect which I performed for many years and because of the reactions it soon became my opening piece. It really ticks all the boxes.

In 2018 I had a new presentation idea which was fun and I believe took the effect to a new level. Zoltar’s Opener was never designed to be a magician fooler (even though it does fool a lot of magicians!) it was designed as a worker. The method is simple, yet sound, the presentation and story are fun and it may be performed in less than a minute (if required) or, if you're like me, you will build it up to a 2-3 minute effect with patter. Everything about this effect pleases me. The story the method and most importantly the impact it has on my spectators. Zoltar’s opener is also perfect to perform over Zoom. Comes complete with custom designed deck and tuck case. Pete Nardi. Find out more and watch a video at www.alakazam.co.uk.

Psychology: Why It Matters. Richard Wiseman. You are remarkable: You experience a vast range of thoughts and feelings, including falling in love, remembering last Tuesday, and contemplating the meaning of life. And you can carry all sorts of astonishing behaviours, such as sauntering down the street, singing in falsetto and riding a unicycle. Psychologists study every aspect of how you think, feel, and behave.

Richard Wiseman takes you on a personal journey into this fascinating world, focusing on what makes for meaningful research. He explores how psychology reveals the hidden workings of the mind, boosts critical thinking, debunks myths, improves lives, and informs debates in politics, philosophy, and education. This insider’s guide lifts the lid on how psychologists go about their work, examines contemporary challenges associated with studying the mind, and encourages students and researchers to reflect on why they do what they do.

If you’ve ever wanted to think like a psychologist, spot a liar, uncover the truth about happiness, or discover how to create a more altruistic society, then this book is for you. To order via Amazon.co.uk Click Here.
