Richard
Turner: Guest of Honour at The Session, January 2023. From the
organisers: Richard Turner will be our Guest of Honour at The Session in
January. He’ll be interviewed on stage, and will also perform his full evening
show - something he’s never done at any magic convention! Additionally, the
hilarious and wonderfully talented Nick Diffatte has also just been announced.
This will be his first time at The Session, presenting a lecture and a spot in
the Gala Show as well. It's shaping up to be quite the convention. In order to preserve the intimacy of The Session, we’ve
made the difficult decision to cap attendance to 400 people. This is to maintain
the "small" atmosphere, and to make sure people can meet (and jam with) their
heroes.

The
Paul Daniels Magic Collection Auction - 23rd & 24th November in Newbury and
online. Special Auction Services write: The auction will include illusions
such as Geometrix. Also going under the hammer is an unfinished magic table that
Paul was working on before he passed away. Amongst the many highlights is the
biggest collection of magic posters ever to be sold in the UK. Over 350 lots of
posters, worth £60,000 depicting Paul and many other renowned magicians in magic
shows both in the UK and worldwide.
The sale also features Paul’s extensive book and programme collection, several
of which are Limited Edition or First Editions. A run of 16 books, estimated at
£100-150, published by C Arthur Pearson Ltd London including two 1904 First
Editions of the Book of pocket tricks one of which belonged to magicians Tom
Harris, Will Goldston and Fred Wiles before it was acquired and signed by Paul
in 1978 and Robert-Houdin The Secrets of Conjuring & Magic dated 1878 which is

Edinburgh International Magic Festival is back with a mind-blowing programme of
shows, events and workshops to bring wonder and fun to the festive season.
The only event of its kind in the UK, MagicFest takes place across the city from
17th-31st December. It features international stars including Edinburgh’s own Kevin
Quantum and Spanish FISM Champion Héctor Mancha.

Illusioneer Presents 'Magic Mix' on Saturday, 19th November in London. From
the organisers:
Puzzlements, Curiosities, Parlor, Street and Cabaret Magic from The Illusioneer
team and guests in a fun and relaxed setting; now on a Saturday night in a seated
Theatre style show.
Bring your own liquid refreshments. We have the drinking vessels. Sorry no food
allowed in the venue but there are a variety of eating places close by.
Performers are from our resident team and guest artists, they will vary each
show.
All artists give their performances free and profits are donated to our special
children's charity Breathe.

Magicians Club, Wayne Fox Lecture, Tuesday 25th October. Nigel Quinn
writes: 'Knockout FX' This is a two hour lecture, consisting of mind reading, as well as
visual magic. Importantly each item is easy to do, and Wayne talks
about his '10 minute practice principal'. Effects and ideas using props and
components that you may already have or can easily be obtained. Card
magic, mind reading and how to be unique at the party, are just some of the
subjects covered. Although this isn’t a dealer dem, there will be an opportunity
