Penn & Teller: The First Final Farewell Tour - opens on Thursday in Wolverhampton! A Night of Magic, Illusion and Circus. The Inferno Aces are a troupe of four magical acts pooling their talents to bring you a jam packed evening full of magic, illusion and circus! The Aces are Tom, who does a mixture or grand scale illusion along with dangerous stunts and escapes. Lucy, who as well as her magical skills specialises in retro circus style hula hoop dancing. Lee, a charismatic character who likes to bring the classics of magic and illusion to theatres. And Gaz, who does the fiendish type of stunts you'd expect to see in a early 1900s sideshow. One thing is for certain, this is sure to be a fun filled evening with plenty of energy and most definitely not to be missed at an absolute bargain price of £10 a ticket (£6 under 16s). Britain's Got Talent - Final, Sunday 4th June on ITV1. Ant and Dec return to host the grand finale of the talent search, while Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli form the judging panel. Taking to stage are the acts who secured the judges' and public votes across the semi-finals, but the public vote alone determines the outcome of the final, where the chosen favourite will be named the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2023. As always, the victor will also be leaving the competition with a life-changing £250,000 cash prize and a coveted place at the Royal Variety Performance. The semi-finals run all week. When Magic Goes Horribly Wrong. A compilation of illusions that went spectacularly badly, including several cases where magicians nearly died. Escapologist Spencer Horsmann nearly drowned three times performing his water tank act, while Canadian magician Dean Gunnarson was pronounced dead after being fished out of a river following a stunt, and Shahid Malik has suffered both serious burns and a 40-foot fall from illusions gone wrong. Wayne Fox: Knockout Fx Lecture - Sheffield Circle of Magicians. From the organisers: This is a two hour lecture, consisting of easy to do mind reading effects and visual magic using props and components that you may already have, or that can be easily obtained from your local magic shop. The Magic Circle History Day, next Saturday in London. The Magic Circle History Day is taking place at The Magic Circle's HQ, The Centre for the Magic Arts, 12 Stephenson Way, Euston, London NW1 2HD on Saturday, 3rd June 2023. This event is dedicated to the study of the rich history of conjuring, its tricks, its performers, and the associated historical memorabilia. The event is open to both members and non-members of The Magic Circle.

The day will feature notable international speakers, discussing diverse aspects of the history of magic, together with a buffet lunch in The Wesley Hotel (next door), tea and  coffee breaks, an opportunity to mingle with fellow historians and collectors, and some surprises.
