Larry Parker will be presenting his comedy magic at the
Players' Theatre,
London, for two weeks from the 26th February. His act will be in the
traditional music hall show Late Joys which has been part of the London
theatrical scene for sixty-five years. The Players' Theatre, situated in
the Arches, just off Villiers Street, Charing Cross, has just started its
new season. This edition of the Late Joys is also directed by Larry
Parker. The Theatre is open every night except Monday. Dinner is served in
the Theatre Restaurant (Club Dinner £13). For tickets and table

The Magic Club of Great Britain is holding a Magic Convention on
Sunday April 7th at the Stables Theatre, Milton Keynes. The Stables is
Milton Keynes' premier live music venue and has a purpose-built auditorium
seating 396 people. The day features: The
Magic Club of Great Britain Close-up and Stage Finals live on Stage,
Lectures by David Penn (Close-up), Mark Shortland (Comedy), Clive Fletcher
(Stage Magic), and Joe Knight (Manipulation and Doves), and a Magic Gala

Stars invites applications from magicians for its 14th annual talent

politicians, authors and activists will join some of the country's
leading scientists to take part in a range of events where the emphasis
will be on "engaging and involving the audience" at this year's
Cheltenham Festival of Science (22nd - 26th May). Through talks and
debates, interactive exhibitions and "science" cabaret, the Festival will
explore the pleasure that lies in the world of science.

The Associated
Wizards of the South, one of the country's oldest magical societies,
are holding a Magic Convention on Sunday March 3rd at the Colbury Memorial
Hall, Hunters Hill (A 35), Hounsdown, Totton, Southampton. With lectures
from: Roger Drew, Scott Penrose and Gerry Luff, close-up sessions with:
David Gemmell, John Gordon and Mike Austin, and a Gala Show starring:
Scott Penrose, Dennis Goodwin and Edge of Darkness. The day includes a
selection of dealers, and hot and cold refreshments will be available.

film featuring bar and close-up magic. It will involve one days filming in London and

Sheffield S1 1XZ with Tony Rix, David Charles, Aquarius and three more

Quiz show 15 to 1 phoned the other day seeking answers to
magic questions, magic seems to feature a lot in the current crop of TV
quiz shows • I understand that the Blackpool Convention is now sold out -
so if you were planning to go up do phone first to check - there are a
few tickets being advertised in the For Sale
section. And staying with Blackpool, we'd welcome reviews of any of the lectures, or close-up sessions
