Derren
Brown joins Jonathan Ross on the Christmas edition of Friday Night
with Jonathan Ross this Friday (20th) on BBC1. Ross is a big magic fan,
has magic posters up on the walls at home, and had David Blaine as a guest just a few weeks ago. Derren Brown can be seen live on stage at the
Bacon Theatre, Dean Close School, Cheltenham at 7.30pm on Friday 28th

Marc
Paul is one of Michael Parkinson's special guests on Parkinson at
Christmas on Christmas eve, together with Tom Jones, Dame Edna
Everage, Alistair McGowan and Martine McCutcheon, Nigel Havers, Benjamin
Zephaniah and Mica Paris. Marc was awarded the title of 'World's Greatest Mind
Reader' by his peers at the prestigious World Magic Awards in Las Vegas
and is also one of the youngest performers to be awarded Gold Star
membership of The Inner Magic Circle.

Angel: Mindfreak has its first UK
screening on Christmas eve. In this one-off TV special Chris Angel
attempts to stay submerged in a tank of water for 24 hours, padlocked and

The

The Amazing Magic Circle
Christmas Show's line-up features both stage and close-up performers.

Wardell, Roy Davenport, Brian Sefton, Terry Seabrooke, and Guy Barret, and

Alistair
Cook appeared on RI:SE on Channel 4 on Monday 9th. He was interviewed
by Edith and Mark about magic, and the upcoming series Monkey Magic
and a number of clips were shown. Monkey Magic is due to air January 2003 -

Blizzard Wizard is the latest production from Cahoots NI, and is now
running twice a day at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast, until December 28th.

Pan - A Musical Adventure is on at the
Royal Festival Hall from December 19th until January 12th.
Scott Penrose was called in to perform some magic and is seen here
levitating Peter Pan (James Gillan) in a casual on the London Eye.
The Magic Circle's Christmas Show also received some publicity from the
stunt.

Guild of Magicians present An Evening of Magic and Illusion at
the Bonington Theatre, Arnold, Nottingham on Sunday February 2nd. Featured
acts include Bunny Neil, president Freddie Wilkinson, James Parker (photo)

now have more information re the upcoming Max Maven lecture in
Belfast, mentioned last week, being staged by The Ulster Society of
Magicians on Sunday January 19th. The lecture runs from 11.30am to 4.30pm
with a break for lunch. The venue is the Lyric Theatre, Ridgeway Street,
Belfast, one of the most popular theatres in the city, that offers
excellent facilities, including tiered seating. The bar will be open in the morning, during lunch, and
