South
Tyneside International Magic Week 2004. From 15th to 21st March 2004,
South Tyneside will be hosting an International Magic Week, organised by
South Tyneside Council's Events and Operations Unit, in conjunction with
Martin Duffy, President of the Newcastle Magic Circle. The week will
consist of performances by magicians in schools, residential homes for
older people, and libraries concluding with a Magicians Convention, to be
held at the Little Haven Hotel, Sea Road, South Shields from Friday 19th
to Sunday 21st March. In addition, two Gala performances, which are open
to convention delegates and members of the public, will be held in Jarrow
CA on Friday 19th March and Saturday 20th March. Artistes booked to
perform at the gala shows include Banacheck, Sylvester the Jester,
Christian, Greg Wilson, Luke Jermay, Boris Wild and Marc Paul. For more

Middlesbrough Circle of Magicians enjoyed its 50th anniversary on
January 13th. Now, in their Jubilee year, they are planning a number of
special events including a visit to The Magic Circle and a special annual
dinner with "our most famous 'old boy' special guest Paul Daniels." At the

Jason Fenn appears on BBC2's
Working Lunch on Friday, February 6th, at 12 noon discussing the tax
implications of being a part-time magician with one of the programme's
financial experts. Jason will be performing some magic but is also happy

Mark
Shortland and Kerry (Scorah) have just returned from a working trip to
the States where they performed with Steve Dacri as guest performers for
two nights in his show at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas,
before moving on to Hollywood where they appeared at The Magic Castle.
Kerry performed 35 shows in the Close-up Gallery, and Mark 25 shows in the
Parlour of Prestidigitation.
