Hayashi
comes to the UK this month to perform at the
British Ring Convention in Eastbourne and also to lecture at four
magic clubs. Currently based in Germany Hayashi is a lecturer for the
department of English at Mannheim University and an intercultural
communications consultant, but it is in his role of 'magician' that he is
swiftly making a name for himself. Recent awards include: March 2003 1st
place: the Swiss National Championships (Card Magic), May 2003 1st place:
the Austrian National Championships (Card Magic), October 2003 1st place:
the Italian National Championships (Card Magic), December 2003 1st place:
the International Magic Competition in London, May 2004 1st place: the
Preliminary Eliminations for the German National Championships, held every

The
Magic Circle Young Magician of the Year Competition 2005. Held
biennially since 1961 the competition attracts talented young magicians
between the ages of fourteen and eighteen. This year's competition will be
staged at the Headquarters of The Magic Circle in July 2005, coinciding
with The Magic Circle's Centenary Celebrations. In addition to cash prizes
and an invitation to join the world's finest magic society the winner of
the competition will have the opportunity to appear 'on stage' with some

Marc
Dominic, following on from his successful 'Corporate Kids' lecture
presented at Kidology UK 2004 (Click
Here for review), has been invited to lecture at The Danish Magic
Circle, during their one day convention on September 18th in Copenhagen.
Marc will be presenting a lecture titled 'Routine Magic' that explores
different performing situations and environments: corporate, kids,

BBC
West is running a series this Autumn looking at people who lead the
double life of an entertainer. They're looking for people who have a day
job, but then become entertainers in their spare time. As part of this
they're hoping to find a close-up or cabaret magician in or near Wiltshire
who would be happy to be filmed at work and then at a bookings.

Magician cuts it in TV
debut on Fat Nation challenge. "A magician will help to make the
