Magic presents Revelation by Wayne Dobson... "A mentally
thought of card is revealed in a comical manner!" Here's another great
piece of magic from Wayne Dobson and Mark Mason, with thanks to Tony
Griffith. 100% practical for the busy close-up performer, this can be
worked under any conditions, with no re-set. Because it really does allow
any card to be thought of (which amazingly you'll get right every
time) this can be performed from table to table with no problems. Included
with the special cards is an instructional DVD and that includes a 'Bonus
Endings' section. Highly recommended. 100% practical. Available from
www.jbtv.co.uk and

Internet Payment Scam Warning. Two readers contacted MagicWeek last
week regarding well known "over-payment" scams. We have warned about
these scams before, and have a permanent warning on our classified
Terms & Conditions page, so this will be the last time that I'll cover
it under News. Typically you'll be offered an over-payment for your
services as a magician, or for second hand magic that you are selling, or
whatever, with instructions to forward the over-paid balance to a third
party for some convoluted reason. It's a scam. Anything out of the normal
is normally a scam. Do not reply. Hit delete and the problem will
disappear... Useful info:

International News: Jayakumar emails from India: "At Magic Academy,
we are excitedly looking forward to conduct 'Mazma' a two day festival of
Indian street magicians on 10th, 11th December 2005 in Thiruvananthapuram,
the cute capital city of Kerala State in India. As part of the Golden
Jubilee Celebrations of Kerala attaining Statehood, Magic Academy is
holding 'Mazma', under the auspice of the department of culture and
Sangeetha Nataka Akademi of Kerala. It is for the first time that a
festival of traditional street magic is held with the support of the
government. Kerala stands the only State in the country to recognise magic
as an art to issue annual awards for the best magician. The Hindi word
Mazma means 'fair at the street' and the festival aims at highlighting the
glorious Indian heritage in the art of magic. Indian street magicians, who
roam over towns for sustenance, are guardians to a number of unexplored
routines and intriguing practices in magic that have been traditionally
passed on through vagrant generations. Mazma is going to be a means for
tracing these flag bearers of indigenous magic and getting them together
on a platform of dignity. Magic Academy will bear all expenses including
travel fare, food and accommodation of the participating street magicians.
Competitions will be held to kindle their inherent talent. The first
prizewinner will be honoured with the title of ‘Jadu Samrat’ and a purse
of Rs.25000 whereas the runner up can receive a cash award of Rs.10000. A
demonstration by these winners will mark a euphoric finale to Mazma. All
other contestants will be honoured with mementos offered by the cultural
department of Kerala. As Kerala will be at its climatic best during the
month of December, Mazma will be a sure dish of delight to every visitor,
curious of getting more magnetism of India." Email
