Number 312 - 17th June 2006
Pure Magic Bar
- opening night! The UK's first dedicated magic bar opened on
Wednesday June 14th in Manchester's most innovative 24 hour entertainment
venue, The Printworks. Situated in the heart of modern Manchester,
the external façade of The Printworks has stood for more than a
century. Today The Printworks houses an eclectic range of venues,
attracting visitors of all ages, interests and origins. Pure Magic Bar
caused more than a ripple as the doors opened and the magic began - magic
that ranged from card-based sleight of hand magic over the bar to full-on
illusions. "We've put a lot of passion, blood and sweat into the Pure
Magic Bar and I think people will see how much we care about it when they
walk through the door. We all love magic and the staff have gone through
rigorous training in sleight of hand, illusion and psychological
manipulations... as well as learning how to mix a mean cocktail!" Said
Mark (on the left in the photo). To see a selection of photos from the

We wish them every future success. Pure Magic Bar, The Printworks, Withy
