The
Bullet Trick by Louise Welsh. When down-at-heel conjurer William
Wilson gets booked for a string of cabaret gigs in Berlin, he is hoping
his luck is on the turn. There are certain spectators from his live show
which he would rather forget. So begins the saga in the life of story
hero, magician William Wilson. The story flits from Berlin to London to
Glasgow and it is an unputdownable thriller. Ms Welsh’s descriptive
writing brings the seedy world of this particular cabaret magician to
life. I am sure many magicians will relate to it! Louise Welsh’s writing
awards include the Crime Writers’ Association Creasey Dagger and the
Saltire First Book Award, including the best selling The Cutting Room and
Tamburlaine Must Die. If you want a fast paced, page turning thriller with
a strong magical theme, this is the book for you. Reviewed by Jack
Stephens. Available from Amazon.co.uk

Tri
Fold by Nathan Kranzo. "This booklet contains
routines that utilise the secret folding of a card in some way. Inspired
by the likes of Fred Kaps, Matt Schulien, Tommy Wonder... the list goes
on. Kaps having helped popularise the classic “card in matchbox” by Bruno
Hennig with advancements by Scotty York, Jamy Ian Swiss and John Kennedy.
Included in the booklet is a Stand Up/Parlor handling for Nathan’s Voodoo
Card routine. This routine received some high praise from some top names
in magic when he performed it at the International Day of Magic in London,
England. Also included is a very strong mentalism routine as well as an
impossible location routine that is a close-up workers dream. A signed
selection is found folded up and tucked inside the tag behind your tie! As
you can see there is something for everyone in this little booklet." Only
available directly from Nathan! $9.99 - Instant PDF Download
