Penn
& Teller, Indigo2 (6th,
7th, 8th December). Last week's shows are reviewed by Julian Hall in The
Independent "...swapping the glitz of their Las Vegas base for a
smaller scale nightclub gaudiness of the Indig02, Penn & Teller showed
just enough of their wares to remind the audience why they have been
able to successfully reinvent themselves, live and on screen, but the
extent to which they left them wanting more was a touch beyond the usual
showbiz adage..."
Click Here and by Bruce Dessau in The Evening Standard
"Misdirection is presumably used frequently. In fact, that was the
night's theme, with the twosome fooling fans into thinking they had seen
a spectacular show rather than an amiable chat thanks to a handful of
captivating stunts. It was intriguing to discover that Teller is now
working as a consultant on a stage version of The Exorcist. Tonight
could have done with more head-spinning stuff..."

Royal Variety Performance 2011 on Wednesday 14th December on ITV1

E-Routines
from Mark Leveridge Magic. "Treat yourself to one of the best deals
in magic by purchasing Mark Leveridge's downloadable E-Routines. There
are 34 different ones to consider covering close up, children's effects,
mentalism and more. Extracted from Mark's books and lecture notes, each
effect requires little or no specialised equipment and comes with
carefully written explanations with illustrations where necessary. This
month Mark has added two new titles to the range, one being a fabulous
fun activity for children's entertainers, the other being a startling
quick card routine. The very low price asked for each E-Routine is just
one of the reasons why you should consider them, the other reasons being
the variety and quality of the contents and the fact that with them
being instant downloads, you can be enjoying them seconds after placing
your order." Full details can be found at

Dreamflight.
"Once a year, 192 deserving children from all over the UK, accompanied
by a team of medical carers, board a chartered Boeing 747 and head to
Florida to spend 10 magical days of fun and excitement. Many children
could not undertake such a trip without the support of the army of
doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and non-medical volunteers who care
for the children 24 hours a day. Dreamflight was setup to help raise the
much needed funds to accomplish this. This year’s Dreamflight ball was
held on 26th November at the Hilton Terminal 5 Heathrow. Apart from the
variety of entertainment our very own magicians Matt Gupwell, Danny
Grew, Adam Longley, Kevin Croombs, Gary Fairplay, Mike Sullivan, Alex
Sprackling, Ken Francis, Dale Shrimpton and Roy Mackenzie took part in
this fantastic charity. For more information on Dreamflight visit

entertained a packed hall of club members, their families and guests
with a lively 45-minute show. The sell-out audience at Handcross Parish
Hall in West Sussex enjoyed a series of routines with lots of audience
participation. The warm-up cabaret was provided by members Jonathan Cann
and Tony Hoare who performed a cod mentalism routine as 'The Professor
and Helga'." Paul Bromley. For a full review of Dave Allen's
