Just added! And addition is the right word when it comes to Arthur Benjamin, joining the amazing line up of talent at this year's International Magic Convention (November 16th, 17th, 18th) at the Mermaid Theatre, London. Arthur is a mathematical and performing phenomena who during the Gala Show will demonstrate his wizardry with numbers as he multiplies 4, 5 and 6 digit numbers in his head. Sounds dry and geeky? Well, only witnessing Arthur live will demonstrate how with showmanship and personality you can turn the unlikely and driest of subjects into hypnotic, enthralling entertainment. Previously a guest on The Paul Daniels TV show, and with over 4 million hits for his TedTalks presentation, this is a rare chance to see Arthur in action in the UK. Now, from the sublime to the ridiculous... Neal Austin will also be in the Gala Show. Hardly off a cruise ship for more than a couple of days at a time, this is the first time in the last eight or nine years that those couple of days have coincided with the Convention dates. A truly unique performer with an eye for the absurd and a daring to go where no others performers dare, Neal will create a suitably hilarious break between the magic of Jeff McBride, Simon Drake and Lukas during a show that you can proudly bring friends and family to, to enjoy a true celebration of magic and variety. Tickets for the show, separate day registrations and full convention info at www.internationalmagic.com. 6.10.12

This will be Mario's 3rd year teaching at the Las Vegas school and is part of the teaching faculty of the McBride School. "When I started street performing almost 20 years ago there were no courses, DVDs or lectures on the subject - I just went out there and kept doing it until I got my first £5 hat - then I thought - wow! I never have to work again! It's taken me many years to learn the art of street theatre and I am still learning!" Mario continues "What both the School of Busking and the Focus on Street Magic doesn't do - is replace the stage/street time needed to make a good street performer! We aim to give a gunshot synopsis of methods and advice of street theatre, learned from combined years of tried and tested experiences. It's a creative and safe space for people to learn the art."
