sky's the limit for eight-year old magician Issy Simpson.
Young Issy gave an incredible performance in the final of Britain's Got
Talent last Saturday, delighting all with her magic and charm. She was
just pipped at the post by musician Tokio Myers. Matt Edwards came in
4th with more comedy and magic, and DNA 11th, with their mind reading

Conjuring
at the Court, London. From the organisers: Witness the impossible as
top magicians take to the stage! On Thursday 29th June Conjuring at the
Court celebrates its 8th year of great magic with a terrific line-up of
performers: One of Holland’s top magicians, Fritz Alkemade, who’s had a
successful run at Edinburgh, full of ideas and comedy! Claire Lenahan,
who had a brief spot at the Court last year with a remarkable and funny
straitjacket escape. Now this sparkling performer returns with a full
act of her magic! Lee Hathaway is one of London’s best established
comedy magicians. His magic is so strong, he fooled Penn and Teller; and
he seems to be as amazed as his audience by what’s going on! Steve
Hewlett is a fabulous ventriloquist, a semi-finalist on Britain’s Got
Talent, with loads of imagination and humour. Russell Levinson as MC
keeps the show moving with a series of baffling miracles ..and as it’s a
birthday, of course there’ll be a cake!

Leamington
& Warwick Magic Society Day of Magic - this Wednesday! From the
organisers: The Leamington Day of Magic this year is on Wednesday 14th
June at the Cubbington Sports and Social Club, Windmill Hill,
Cubbington, Leamington Spa CV32 7LN. The main lectures have been booked
and include Peter Turner, Max Somerset, Liam Montier and David Tomkins.
The day officially starts on the Tuesday evening with a lecture from
Andrew Normansell for local magicians or those that travel up the day

Evening with Leslie Melville - York Society
of Magicians. Gren Dowson writes: Freddie Davies is unable to attend
his evening at York Society of Magicians originally planned for this
date due to unforeseen circumstances, however he has organised a
replacement lecturer with a good friend Leslie Melville. Leslie Melville
is a well known entertainer who started out in the 1940s around
Blackpool. Leslie has worked on cruise ships, in theatres, and as a
Butlins Redcoat. You may know Leslie as Percy Piecrust or William
Warlock as he was also know. Members of other magic societies are
